A Story Forged in Suffering and Conviction
Sentenced in January 2013 to eight years by the Islamic Republic of Iran, Saeed Abedini had already spent years building a network of underground house churches at serious personal risk. Before his conversion to Christianity at age 20, he had been recruited by Hezbollah at 14. Watching the corruption and hatred inside that system drove him to leave and, eventually, to embrace an entirely different path.
His release on January 16, 2016 came through a prisoner exchange tied to the Iran nuclear agreement. During those years of imprisonment, international broadcasts about his case drew roughly one and a half million people into his story, pulling heads of state and global faith leaders into the conversation. That reach is the foundation he builds on today.

Saeed Abedini describes his calling plainly: to preach the whole gospel to the whole world.
